Ahead of their brand new album “Resistance is Futile”, the Welsh evergreen indie heroes Manic Street Preachers have released the euphoric anthem “International Blue”. Neatly sitting alongside both their earlier and later phases, the track has been described as ‘a sister song to “Motorcyle Emptiness”‘.
The video was shot in various locations around Nice in the South of France with their long-term collaborator Kieran Evans which evokes the mood of the track and the work of artist Yves Klein.
Their 13th album is their first for four years but is their 13th straight release on the Sony/Columbia label and sees the boys also perform a number of tour dates (Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Llandudno, Leeds, London and Cardiff) in its promotion.
Released on April 6th, the album’s official tracklisting is:
People Give In
International Blue
Distant Colours
Vivian
Dylan & Caitlin
Liverpool Revisited
Sequels Of Forgotten Wars
Hold Me Like A Heaven
In Eternity
Broken Algorithms
A Song for The Sadness
The Left Behind
Also on the deluxe edition are demo versions of the above plus bonus tracks “Concrete Fields” and “A Soundtrack To Complete Withdrawal”.
