Lanterns On The Lake have been quiet of late, however, they’ve seen fit to furnish us with this sumptuous video for ‘The Crawl’, one of the stand out tracks from recent album ‘Beings’.
As singer Hazel puts it; “The Crawl is an invitation to someone. It’s about a magic escapism that transcends the shallow everyday stuff… it’s a secret world that only the two of you exist in – just below the surface. I suppose this is the closest I’ve got to writing anything romantic”.
The video was directed by James Alexander Grieves; “The video is a glimpse into a moment in time set in the ballroom dance halls here in the North East of England in the 1950’s. It captures that special moment – the kind of moment that stays with us for a lifetime: where everything around you stops and you leave the world outside.”
