WITH a brand spanking new album, Glowing in the Dark, announced for a February release, Django Django have unveiled a Hot Chip rerub of the title track, sprinkling some of that ever-uplifting Taylor ‘n’ Goddard sweetness over the pulse. Take a listen below.
Django Django say: “We’ve been huge fans of Hot Chip from the beginning and had the pleasure of supporting them live a few times now, so we’re really chuffed to have a remix from them. Hope you enjoy it.”
Hot Chip replied in kind: “We were stoked out of our minds to get our hands on this track from Django Django; so strong and fun and addictive!
“We hope folks like what we’ve done with it and enjoy the sounds as much as we enjoyed working on them!”.
And you’d be churlish not to: it breaks over a warped flute trill, is possessed of plenty of dancefloor shapes, has bags of texture and melody.
The track comes reified with an animation from Multiple Man, which brings a luscious trippiness to proceedings.
