See: Fleeting Persuasion release psychedelic video for ‘Rewind’ from their album ‘Will They Come Back’, ahead of live gig

Today the deliciously gothic Fleeting Persuasion have unveiled their new video for the track ‘Rewind’ off their sophomore album ‘Will They Come Back’ released at the beginning of the year. This comes ahead of their hometown Melbourne show with Bluebottle Kiss and Screamfeeder this weekend (9 November).

‘Rewind’ has a rumbling prowling insistent thunder while the yearning melodic vocals lend a lighter touch.

The video clip for the song ‘Rewind’, features atmospheric visuals possessing a 90s shoegaze and classic indie rock vibe. The song features distorted bass, clanging and ringing guitar and knife-edge drumming that gives the music a real sense of urgency – like a mix of Killing Joke and New Order.

James Harrison says of the track and the video:

It truly was a fun song to write and I have fond memories of that. It was fun to see it come to life in the studio, and it’s a blast to play live. Tobey had a cool vision for the video which perfectly matches the feeling of the song. Made to be listened to loud!

There is certainly a surreal glow to the video – a nightmarish hue that is discombobulating:

The track is off ‘Will They Come Back’ which is available to download and stream via all the usual sites and through the link below.
