Code Orange have unveiled an official music video for ‘Autumn and Carbine,’ taken from last year’s critically acclaimed record ‘Underneath.’ The video sees the group dropped into a dystopian future where animated versions of them combat corrupt leaders and disturbing mutated creatures. Perfectly complementing the futuristic, distinctive brand of industrially tinged hardcore, the video’s sci-fi backdrop continues Code Orange’s trend of blending forward thinking heavy music with engaging visual aesthetics. Anyone who has viewed any of the band’s previous music videos will surely enjoy the various references and easter eggs scattered throughout the video.
Code Orange have an impressive catalogue of immersive livestreams, such as the brilliant homage to Headbangers Ball and MTV unplugged, entitled, ‘Under the Skin’ where the band performed a selection of their songs in a previously unheard stripped-down style, along with an amazing rendition of Alice in Chains’ ‘Down in a Hole.’ Building on this, the band now regularly interact with fans via their Twitch channel, in a series known as ‘YOU AND YOU ALONE,’ where the band engage in fan Q&A’s along with playthroughs and performances.
‘Underneath’ is available on all streaming platforms, featuring the Grammy nominated title track, ‘Swallowing the Rabbit Whole’ and ‘Sulfur Surrounding.’
