Talking of their new track, I don’t want you – New York metallers As Days Fade say “The main message behind [the track] is knowing you’re in a bad relationship and having the strength and courage to step out of your comfort zone and say “you aren’t the one for me, you are hurting me and I need you out of my life right now.” Musically, we incorporated both groove oriented / up-beat rhythms to symbolize the euphoric feel of a relationship as well as aggressive breakdown rhythms to emphasize the distraught emotion towards one another.”
It’s taken from their forthcoming Resurrection EP, which drops on June 3rd, and after a moody beginning, it buts into life – full of muscular chords and riffs and angsty, almost shouted vocals. It almost seems to stop and start at points, drawing you in before almost blowing you away with its aggressive power. Check it out, here
