SEE: AK/DK’s ‘Shared Particles’ leads for third LP

BRIGHTON’S double-drum synth groove assassins AK/DK are back in the (twin) saddle, and have shared a video for “Shared Particles” (watch below) as a taster for album number three, which shares a title and which is down for an August 28th release date.

And fans needn’t worry: there’s no ‘difficult third’ syndrome at work here; the boys didn’t pick up their acoustics and head to the country to ‘get their heads together’, as “Shared Particles” illustrates.

It’s another meisterwerk in insistent bleepy chitchat and ever-forward psych propulsion, designed deep under a Sussex hillside to shift the bones and stun the head.

Ed and G had this to say about the forthcoming album: “We really wanted to combine the two elements of the band: both [the] live improvisations and more studio-based songwriting.

“What we really miss in the studio is the live audience; we’ve definitely tried to capture the spirit of our stage shows and the ebb and flow of the energy in the room.”
