London 4-piece After Smoke Clears, have released a new single and video, ‘Deterioration’. The second of six single releases throughout the year, the band blend metal, tech and groove to deliver a powerful sound. It’s on the heavier end of metal with a guttural vocal delivery and catchy head nodding riffs.
The song portrays the story of personal suffering and family tragedy, reflectiong on the fact that life is short lived, precious, and not be taken for granted.
This string of 2020 releases tell the story about a violent personal mental space, dealing with repression and cultural pressures that force conformity. It’s a groove laden metal banger in places, and the more uptempo riffage is their strong suit. Following from the debut single ‘The Vine’ earlier this year, After Smoke Clears will have a solid catalogue of material under their belts by the end of the year and plenty of material to tour with,
