Liverpool based noise rockers Bonnacons of Doom have this week present the first track to come from their debut LP to be released on Rocket Recordings on 18th May.
‘Solus’ and the rest of the self-titled album was recorded at Suburban Home studios by its owner and Hookworms frontman MJ, this recorded incarnation of Bonnacons’ arcane conjury operates stubbornly free of genre, sashaying alongside psychrock, repetitive drone and electronic experimentation whilst consumed by a devotional intensity that’s multiplied by the transcendental echolalia of vocalist Kate.
‘Solus’ is an ethereal offering with haunting vocal interplay overpowering a noise laden backdrop. The track is a perfect introduction to the band for the uninitiated.
Bonnacons will also be playing The Garage this Sunday as part of Rocket’s 20th Anniversary showcase. Day tickets are still available: http://thegarage.london/listings/rocket-recordings-twenty-3/
