110 Above Festival returns on 4th August 2017, welcoming bands and punters back to their site in Twycross, Leicestershire, for a weekend of indie pop music and festive revelry. The independent festival have just announced 10 bands forming the line-up of 2017’s festival, welcoming back returning artists and introducing a few new ones, too.
I was unable to attend last year’s festival but, unwilling to completely miss out, I sent my parents along in my place. Their reviews could surpass mine, as I regularly received texts singing the praises of the festival itself and my dad’s favourite artists (Fatherson, Only Shadows, and Martin Luke Brown, if you’re curious).
The smaller crowd meant more intimate, friendly stages, where the audience can feel more connected to the artists performing their songs. It doesn’t have any of the stress you normally feel at the bigger camping festivals, rather, it keeps the welcoming atmosphere that allows new friendships to grow.
The festival welcomes the return of Deco and Seafret and Marsicans, all of whom played at last year’s event. They’ll be joined by High Tyde, Anteros, Idle Frets, and The Night Cafe for the 3-day summer festivities. Benjamin Francis Leftwich will be headlining the festival’s second stage on the Saturday evening.
Eliza and the Bear will be headlining on the Friday evening, with the great Sundara Karma taking the spotlight on Saturday night. Check out their single ‘Happy Family’ below:
110 Above Festival promises to be an exclusive and friendly affair, limiting numbers to keep an initmate atmosphere where you can see the best indie artists of this coming year. 110 Above Festival awaits you.
