You’ve got about 12 minutes, right? Good – you absolutely should take them to listen to this: a 3-song EP from Brooklyn trio Camp Bedford. You may have seen us raving about recent single ‘Jupiter’ at the beginning of March, but here’s the elevator pitch: fans of First Aid Kit, Wye Oak or The Staves should be all over this; the band’s sense of melody and arrangement is nothing short of superb.
Consisting of Roxanne Quilty (guitar/lead vocals), Mariela Flor Olivo (lead guitar/vocals) and Tallen Gabriel (cello), it’s a tantalising glimpse into a band who sound like they’ve arrived fully formed but are only just getting started. Out tomorrow, we’re streaming the whole thing up front. Sure, the brevity of the EP means essentially it’s an early exclusive preview of ‘Tonight’, but still. We’re incredibly excited about this band, and you should be too.
(New Yorkers reading this, FYI: they’re at the Sultan Room tomorrow night, get to the gig!)
