French producer Montmartre has just released (today no less) his new remix of ‘Mexican Holiday’ the recent release from Australian indie pop artist Tim Ayre, on Kitsuné Musique. It ahead of an anticipated second album from the Frenchman, a follow on from his debut, Hope, which has contributed to his impressive 120,000,000 streams online.

Of the remix, he says “I wanted to bring my punchy and sunny sound to the voice of Tim Ayre with an electro pop vision of the track that brings back the summer. It gives a cocktail of freshness that makes us relive those good times by the pool and sway on this beat that recalls those vacations.”

There’s a summer breeziness about Montmartre’s version, with wispy synths and electronics and various pops and clicks providing accompaniment, as he buffs up the melancholy of Tim Ayers original into something shiny and, frankly, beautiful
