Danish indie quintet Little Winter have just released a new video for their track Wonderlost, in conjunction with Port Practice Productions’ Mikkel Carlsen, and it’s out tomorrow. Ahead of its, release, we’re delighted to b e able to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia today.
Of the track, Little Winter say “In its essence, “Wonderlost” is about losing touch with yourself. Our focus is constantly shifted away from things that really matter and instead we spend all our energy on needs and desires that we have been taught to pursue. Needs that neither serve nor enrich us as human beings. We are alienated from ourselves and each other blindly searching for happiness built on false premises.”
If you need something to, a) remind you of hazy summers evenings, b) make you drift into a place where you can be sort of happy and sort of sad at the same time, and c) hopelessly fall in love with, then Wonderlost is the thing you’ve been needing in your life. More than Zoom even. Ticking off the full gambit of essentials needed – melancholy, melody, backing vocals, organ, guitar solo, it basically our favourite song of the year, so far.
Well, mine anyway. Check out the beautifully shot performance video, here
It’s all taken from the bands forthcoming album, out later in the year on Celebration Records.
