We’re delighted to premiere ‘Let me Go’, the new single from Killing Cartisano, aka Roberta Cartisano, due out on May 4th via Broken Toys / Cargo Records. It’s a new project for the Italian singer-songwriter, musician and producer, who previously released music under her own name, and the track was written and arranged by Roberta at her Broken Toys Studio (IT), and sees KC (vocals, guitars, bass, hand claps) joined by Sonny Pearce (drums) and George S.Rosenthal (additional percussion and bass, hand claps).. She says of the track ‘ “Let Me Go’ is a freeing and cathartic scream….. Not much to say when you’re just pissed off and non-aligned, just … Let. Me. Go!”
These intricate guitar lines give way to a ethereal folk tune, Cartisano’s vocal alternately serene and angry as the mood dictates. As it unfurls so the drums begin to crash and the backing vocals change from angelic to an almost shouted instruction. It’s lovely stuff.
