Premiere: Kappekoff readies new album and taps Pasha for ‘Late Night’

Oslo-based producer and bassist Magnus Falkenberg is preparing a new record, out two weeks tomorrow and serving as a companion piece to last year’s excellent New Spring; before then, he’s releasing one more single from the record, one of five collaborations that form the backbone of the album, and it could very well be the best single yet.

‘Late Night’ features a guest appearance from Norwegian rapper Pasha, who’s on the outside looking in on the world of Kappekoff. Here’s what he had to say about his contribution: “The vibe I had in mind when I was writing was a rooftop party with a DJ and MC. Kind of like that Common & Armand [Van Helden] track ‘Full Moon‘.”

Tipping the hat to one excellent team-up in service of another; that’s the kind of thing we love to see. Ahead of its release tomorrow, you can stream ‘Late Night’ with us today; Old Spring arrives on Friday November 15th.
