We are very honoured to premiere the new track ‘Fall Apart’ from Italian group Kodaclips: a burning intense track that has a shoegaze haze and a powerful drive. Very much part of the Italogaze movement, Kodaclips have a history of producing the most mesmerising material, and the new single continues with their upwards trajectory.

The track precedes the band’s forthcoming album ‘Gone Is The Day’ and captures perfectly this band’s uber cool presence – the song has scything crystalline guitars with the distant observant vocals threading through the percussive beat and the shimmering muscular wall of sound.

An arching, aching chorus creates an anthemic blush – indelible melodies shine through the fuzz and distortion as the song deals with the end of a relationship, threaded with an air of melancholy that seeps into the lyrics:

Who grows apart
I gotta tell you and let it go
One inner child
Two angry souls
Are we ever ready to let go
What should we say about that now

It is really very enthralling stuff.

The accompanying video from Matilde Pretolesi is a montage of enigmatic shots – streetwise and ambulant scenes that coast along with the drive of the music.

‘Fall Apart’ is released on 26 July through Manchester label Sister 9 Recordings and will be available to download and stream via all the usual sources. It is on the new album ‘Gone Is The Day’ which is out on 6 September 2024 and you can pre-order it here. The album was mixed and mastered by the brilliant James Aparicio (Throw Down Bones, The Cult of Dom Keller, Rev Rev Rev, Clustersun amongst others).
