Premiere: FRANKIIE get ‘Visions’ of déjà vu on otherworldly new single

It’s always nice to hear from FRANKIIE. They’re intent on making up for lost time after going quiet for obvious reasons following 2019 debut album Forget Your Head – this is the Vancouver band’s second single in six weeks following the reveal of ‘Garden’ last month.

You can, and should, catch up with it below via a live performance video, but we’ve also got a premiere for you. ‘Visions’ is a delightfully atmospheric, intimate song about the interplay between dreams and reality.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Francesca Carbonneau explains: “When dreams and memories entangle with our present moment, we can begin to question our entire reality. ‘Visions’ is about that feeling, about sensing something beyond what’s happening right in front of you…as if right below the surface, anything you’ve ever lost is there; waiting for you to reach out your hand and grab it back. Like déja vu, which is something I experience frequently, a single moment can feel surreal, strange and yet strikingly familiar all at once.

We’ve got your first look at the Brandon Fletcher-directed clip for ‘Visions’, the second single from the band’s second album Between Dreams, out Friday June 2nd on Paper Bag Records.
