Burial Grid, the Massachusetts based electronic-psych producer otherwise known as Adam Kodak, has today released his new fourth full-length album, We’ve Come for Your Flesh, out via Spinal Constellation Records. We’re delighted to be able to premiere the accompanying new video for the track Bairting The Undertow right here on Backseat Mafia this morning.
The track is this almost nightmarish take on electro, with pounding drums and hard edged synth sounds giving it this icy, unsettling feel. When eventually the whispered, ordering lyrics come in theres ethics feeling of rage against some kind of dystopian dream.
Of the video, Adam says “Baiting the Undertow is track two from the brand new album. Director Nick Verdi created something far more horrifying than even I could have imagined. It brings me back to days of renting luridly-packaged VHS tapes on Friday nights, bringing them home and occasionally finding something that felt genuinely dangerous and snuff-like. Not for the faint of heart.”
