If you didn’t know, now you know: Beverly Crusher are finally getting their shit together and releasing an album. We’ve heard it, and if you’re in any way familiar with their sound, you’re gonna love it; even if you got on board as recently as when we premiered lead single ‘Scab’ back in June.
It’s out next week, and here’s something new from the Seattle trio to tee it up: ‘Gimmie the Power’, a song which is very likely to be stuck in your head before it’s half over, and described by the band thus: “[An] anthem that takes many forms. Sometimes it’s a chant for revolution, sometimes it’s a call to the after world asking for for unworldly help, but always, it’s about [frontman Cozell Wilson’s] irrational fear and obsession with Chucky (the doll from Child’s Play).”
Get stuck in below with our premiere; Waste of Waves arrives next Friday August 12th via Freakout Records. Then proceed to check out their KEXP session for a taste of their live energy.
