News: Wunderhorse Announce Headline Australian and NZ Gigs for 2025

UK rock juggernauts Wunderhorse are riding a wave of momentum as they announce two exclusive Australian headline shows for 2025. The band will light up Sydney’s iconic Metro Theatre on 4 March, before wrapping up their whirlwind AU/NZ tour with an intimate gig at Wellington’s Meow. These headline slots come as a side dish to their main course—an epic run opening for Irish post-punk heroes Fontaines D.C., which takes them to Brisbane’s Riverstage, the Sydney Opera House, and Auckland’s Spark Arena.

The tour coincides with Wunderhorse’s continued ascension following their sophomore triumph, Midas (2024). The album, a follow-up to their 2022 breakout debut Cub, was forged in the hallowed halls of Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio—legendary for birthing Nirvana’s In Utero and PJ Harvey’s Rid Of Me. Produced by Craig Silvey, Midas soared to No. 6 in the UK charts, propelling the band through their biggest-ever headline tour and a December arena support slot with Sam Fender.

“We wanted it to sound like your face is pressed up against the amp. No frills, no polish – just pure, uncut rock’n’roll.” Wunderhorse frontman Jacob Slater
