30 years in, and The Superjesus continue to surf the crest of the rock and roll wave with the release of their new single, Something Good.
Original member and lead singer, Sarah McLeod, explains the genesis of the song, saying “Something Good was a song I had a while back that I was harvesting for my solo album, I played it to Ruddy (Stuart Rudd) and he saw TSJ potential …so yet again it got swiped for a higher purpose 😊 Ruddy took it to his studio and did a number on it, then it was unleashed on the band. It came up a treat! It’s super fun to play live as well ‘cause finally I have a song where I don’t have to play guitar. I thought lyrically it felt good for where we are at too.”
Bass player, and fellow original member, Stu Rudd remarked “It is such a great song, initially upon hearing the track, I couldn’t get it out of my head, and it was one of the demos we kept coming back to, and felt it had to be released, once again happily pushing our own boundaries.”
The band have also announced a number of dates touring across the country. The Superjesus will provide support for legendary rockers, Cold Chisel alongside their own headline shows, with support provided by Screamfeeder, Dallas Frasca and Disgraceland (as per listing below).
