Voiid will be releasing their debut album ‘Watering Dead Flowers’ on 28 April. The album was recorded in 2021 by Matt Cochran (Talk Heavy, WALKEN) at Birthday Boy Studios, with assistance from Caleb Anderson (Mouse). ‘Watering Dead Flowers’ marks the end of the longest interval Voiid has ever taken between recording and releasing a body of work, but the band has promised that the new music is worth the wait.
The band, made up of Mina Cannon (drums), Antonia Hickey (bass/vocals), Kate Mcguire (guitar/vocals) and Anti Greenwood on lead vocals, say that with their music, they have built a haven for listeners to feel empowered in their anger, their wildness and their friendships.
Backseat Downunder are big fans of Voiid and their searing, explosive live shows, so we are looking forward to the release of ‘Watering Dead Flowers’.
The band have also announced an Australian tour in support of ‘Watering Dead Flowers’ – tickets HERE.
