Nashville duo The Narrative release new 4 track EP ‘New Anxieties’.
Comprising Suzie Zeldin (vocals/keys) and Jesse Gabriel (vocals/guitar), the pair have always aimed to create music that deeply resonates with listeners, akin to their own musical influences and the new EP delivers exactly this. Formed through a Craigslist ad in Suzie’s New York apartment, the duo’s debut EP, ‘Just Say Yes’, garnered critical acclaim, propelling them to national touring and media placements.
The new EP ‘New Anxieties’ delivers vibrant synth led indie-pop soundscapes topped with compelling melodies, introspective, emotion driven lyricism, and intricate interweaving melodies. Comparable to Oh Wonder, the pairs sound balances its commercial edge with atmospheric production and vibrant ideas.
The EP’s final and lead track track, ‘Higher’, co-written by Zeldin and Gabriel, explores the theme of parenthood, reflecting on both the loss of their pre-parenthood selves and newfound fulfilment. As Zeldin explains: “We aim to make songs that resonate deeply and impact the lives of our listeners, the same way many of our favourite musicians impacted ours.”
