The Fray are throwing it back two decades with the How to Save a Life 20th Anniversary Tour — and they’re heading Down Under this December.

The Denver outfit are celebrating the album that made them household names with an international tour that now includes a string of Aussie dates. The run kicks off in Perth at Metro City on December 3, before making stops in Brisbane (Eatons Hill Hotel), Sydney (Enmore Theatre), and Melbourne (Forum), wrapping up on December 7.

And if the ticket frenzy is anything to go by, Australia’s still got a soft spot for the kings of piano-rock heartbreak. Shows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne have already sold out, with Perth holding onto a few stragglers — so if you’re keen, don’t hang about. New shows have been announced for Wed 10 Dec 2025 at the Enmore Theatre and Tue 9 Dec 2025 at the Forum Melbourne.

Originally released in 2005, How to Save a Life didn’t just soundtrack every teen drama montage of the late-2000s — it helped define the decade. The title track alone went 5x Platinum, while the album as a whole topped charts, pulled at heartstrings, and racked up more than 12 billion streams over the years. Not bad for a band that got its start playing church basements and college radio.

With four GRAMMY nominations, over 20 million singles sold, and the ability to make grown adults weep within 30 seconds of a chorus, The Fray’s influence remains undeniable. Two decades on, they’re proving some songs — and some feelings — just don’t fade.
