Southwest UK indie risers Haytor share the heartfelt, melancholic yet vibrant and summery new single, ‘All We’ll Ever Be’ out today. Produced by acclaimed producer Josiah J Manning, the track melds bright melodies with emotive, reflective lyricism to create a track which is radiantly accessible whilst holding a personal depth in its lyricism.
The song delivers a rich soundscape with radiant guitar tones, tight percussion, grounding basslines, and subtle layers of acoustic guitar and synth. Frontman Austin Robison’s vocal performance brings emotional sincerity and catchy hooks, making the track relatable yet distinctly alternative, with its guitar-driven instrumentation lending it a fresh edge.
Robison shared the deeply personal inspiration behind the song, explaining that it’s a tribute to his late grandfather. “‘All We’ll Ever Be’ is an ode to my grandad who sadly passed away shortly after the pandemic,” Robison said. “It’s a heartfelt remembrance of a man who helped raise me, but it’s also a reflection on the figures from our childhood who were always there. The writing started with a joyful riff, and we wanted the song to be full of life and energy. Josiah Manning helped us pull it all together in the studio.”
Haytor has already built a dedicated following, thanks to appearances on BBC Introducing and Kerrang! Radio, as well as opening for the likes ofThe Snuts and Deco. Their performances at venues such as Rough Trade Bristol have drawn packed-out crowds, while the band has made a name for themselves across the UK festival circuit, playing sets at the likes of Boardmasters, Lakefest, and Oceanfest.
