Making their debut late last year before unveiling their See This Through EP, four-piece Sorry Darling has begun to boast an anticipatory buzz with their energetic alt-rock style. The band has now unveiled a new music video for the standout single ‘Language Of Touch’, echoing the smokey instrumentation and emotive lyrical themes with storytelling visuals.
As the glistening guitar melodies open up subtle bass grooves and pensive vocal performances, viewers are treated to scenes of the band performing alongside a captivating narrative of past lovers reconnecting at a high school reunion. The couple is played by friends and Brooklyn music scene compatriots Kasey Heisler Porter and Patrick Porter of Brooklyn noise-rockers A Very Special Episode. Intricate in musical arrangement and attentive to broadcast visuals, the video is set to excite fans and entice industry audiences.
Sorry Darling vocalist/guitarist Liz Wagner Biro explains the new video, “We wanted the video for ‘Language of Touch’ to celebrate the way young love shapes us, the joy and the heartbreak of it all, and how that young love feeling doesn’t have to be confined to time or space. That adolescent electricity can live on if you stay open to it.”
Vocalist/guitarist Steve Bailey adds, “As a song, ‘Language of Touch’ was born out of a need to feel moments of trust and safety in physical love and how the tension before realizing that can make those moments even more powerful. With the video, we wanted to explore those themes in a situation that I think we all daydream about happening with our past loves.”
