The BBC have been pioneering new music for many years (just like we like we do here at Backseat Mafia towers). Their annual poll artists and bands we can expect to see more of over the next twelve months has always created quite a buzz amongst the music industry and listeners alike. Previous winners have had varying success in the past, but with the likes of Sam Smith, Adele and Years & Years taking the crown in past years, anyone adding their name to the list will undoubtedly be in good company. This year it is twenty-one year old Norwegian pop star Sigrid who takes the crown. Her infectious new track ‘Strangers’ is out now and is guaranteed to lodge itself in your head. Signs are good that we’re going to see a lot more of Sigrid in 2018 and beyond.
