Beloved Liverpool band Shack have announced their first tour since 2007, reuniting Michael and John Head with original bassist Pete Wilkinson for a series of highly anticipated shows. The band’s homecoming gig at Liverpool Olympia sold out in hours, leading to the addition of three further dates in Glasgow, Manchester, and London—with the latter also selling out quickly.

The reunion comes after last year’s vinyl reissues of Here’s Tom With The Weather and HMS Fable, and a surprise BBC 6 Music live session in December that reignited demand for a full-scale return. With drummer Iain Templeton’s passing in 2022, The Coral’s Ian Skelly has stepped in, alongside multi-instrumentalist Nathaniel Cummings from Michael Head’s Red Elastic Band.

“It was so natural,” says Michael Head. “Whatever it is that we’ve got, it still works. Like John said, it was like slipping back into a favourite pair of slippers.”

With a songbook spanning five cult-classic albums, Shack’s 2025 tour promises a powerful celebration of their legacy. Limited tickets remain for the following dates:

• Fri 25 April – Liverpool Olympia (SOLD OUT)

• Thu 1 May – Glasgow, St. Luke’s

• Fri 2 May – Manchester, O2 Ritz

• Mon 5 May – London, Union Chapel (SOLD OUT)
