News: Sea of Lettuce Return With Fourth Studio Album ‘Any Day Now’

Canadian indie rockers Sea of Lettuce release their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Any Day Now.

Bringing buoyant indie-alternative vibes, Any Day Now, see’s the band build soundscapes of shimsical chord progressions and brilliantly lazy and melancholic vocals. Nostalgic melodies over layers of bright jangly and psychedelic guitar tones, jiving beats and grounding bass captures a sound which is indie fuelled but also carries a chilled, beachy undertone. Heartfelt and melancholic, Any Day Now captures a stylistic soundpallet and writing approach, blending indie with jazz undertones to great effect.

The band reflected on the personal and professional challenges that inspired its thematic core: “Any Day Now came together during a pivotal time in our lives,” they shared. “Balancing our musical passions with other career endeavors was becoming more of a challenge, and it ended up influencing a lot of the songs. There’s this ongoing tension between following our dreams and feeling the pressure to settle into a more conventional career path. At the same time, we wanted to remind ourselves to stay in the moment and enjoy the ride rather than always worrying about what’s next.” These reflective themes are woven throughout the album, giving it a thoughtful and relatable edge while maintaining the infectious energy fans have come to love.

Formed in 2017 by a group of high school friends, Sea of Lettuce began their journey in the basement of a Calgary home, quickly gaining traction for their electrifying live performances and catchy, heartfelt songs. Over the years, they’ve built a dedicated fanbase through relentless gigging and their dynamic presence on stage. With four full-length albums and two EPs to their name, the band’s evolution has been steady, but with Any Day Now, they’re entering a new and exciting phase of their career.
