Fresh off the heels of the electrifying single ‘Walk Te’Jo’, which garnered attention from esteemed publications like Wordplay and Music Crowns, Samskara Rad is back with a new musical offering titled ‘Only Fan’. marking a departure from the pulsating rhythms of Samskara’s previous hit ‘BIGGEST FAN’, embracing dreamy synth arpeggios and softer atmospheres for a more ethereal experience.

In ‘Only Fan’, Samskara Rad crafts a captivating soundscape where gentle bouncy drums and a rich bass tone serve as the backdrop for shimmering synth melodies. Reflecting on the release, Samskara shares, “A dreamy lullaby bubblegum version of ‘Biggest Fan.’ For me, it’s hard to do slower-paced songs, as I’m always in the minute and driven by energy. So, writing ‘Only Fan’ taught me how to create emptiness and space in a song and still be energetic, but with a different emotional vibe.”

Performing under the pseudonym Samskara Rad, Simon Marroco brings a wealth of experience and passion to his music. After a 25-year hiatus, during which he pursued a career as a yoga teacher and established one of Australia’s largest yoga schools, Marroco returned to the music scene with renewed creativity and vigor.

Originally known for his role in the prog-punk band The Mood, which gained traction in Melbourne during the 1980s, Marroco’s journey has been marked by artistic evolution and exploration. With ‘Only Fan’, he continues to push boundaries and redefine his musical identity, incorporating new influences and production techniques to create an immersive sonic experience.
