Cork City-based singer-songwriter SAL shares captivating new single, ‘Issues,’ a dreamy and idyllic indie-pop anthem that takes listeners on a sonic journey through layers of Bon Iver-esque, vocal processing & glitching electronics, folk undertones with strummed guitar links and indie-rock tendencies.
SAL’s stylistic vocal delivery shines brightly on ‘Issues,’ with her colourful and passionate delivery guiding listeners through the swelling backing of gently tremolo tinted guitar lines, strummed acoustics, driving bass and tight drums and subtle twinkling synths. Mellow and beautiful yet catchy and accessible, the track is a vibrant example of the solo artists ability to craft captivating sonic pallets.
Speaking about the track SAL explains: “‘Issues’ is a song that allows space for that voice in your head that you so often keep inside. The voice that doesn’t speak up and stand its ground, is suddenly liberated and set free through this song. It is a song written from the perspective of being tired of patience, and tired of waiting and instead choosing to let go”
Having established herself in Ireland, SAL is ready to captivate audiences in London with an upcoming short tour, further expanding her rapidly growing fan base. ‘Issues’ is a fine addition to her growing catalogue of indie-folk anthems.
