Gerem3 (born Gereme and pronounced “Jeremy”), shares the R&B and Nu-Soul fuelled new single ‘Apocalypse’.
Blending elements of R&B within the tracks warming, synth heavy backing, a soulful elegance in Gerem3’s flawless vocal performance and a catchy, accessible essence of pop, the rest is a commercially viable track with heaps of emotion depth.
Futuristic with its use of swelling synth pads and tight electronic drums, the tracks melancholic tone is enhance but the moody nature of the soundscape. Topped with the effortlessly infectious, heartfelt and spotlessly controlled lead vocals, the track glitters, showcasing the huge potential this up and comer has.
Speaking on ‘Apocalypse’, Gerem3 says, “Heaven call me home, I’ve got nowhere to go” – I was going through a lot at the time when I wrote this song. More than just a heartbreak. I really wanted to expand on the feeling of essentially ‘losing everything’.”
