Pop-punk trio Slackrr release their new single This Time, via Lost Music Collective, along with the official music video. This Time is taken from their upcoming third full length release, Set The Night On Fire, out 4th August and available to pre-save here.
Written by the band and produced by Pash Stratton, the track is about realising the people you associate with don’t have your best interests at heart. “This time, I wanna stand for something. Not holding out for someone else” sings frontman Scotty Perry. Ahead of its release, the track premiered on Radio 1’s Future Alternative show with Nels Hylton, dubbing the band as “unreal, bonafide pop punk.”
Speaking of the track, Slackrr said “Whether it be a relationship, a friendship, a job or anything else in your life, it’s about remembering your own self-worth and having the courage to break away from this toxic situation and stand for something of your own and that there is hope in the realisation that you’re better than the situation you’ve found yourself in. Through self-reflection and putting out positive energy, there is hope for a brighter future.”
