Electronic-pop singer-songwriter PEARL releases the radiant new EP, I Move Around You. Collaborating with notable producers like Scott Verrill (Good Neighbours) and John Foyle (known for work with Sampha and FKA Twigs), PEARL once again delivers a refreshing and deeply emotive slice of synth-driven alt-pop on a 5 track release which is both radiantly commercial and affectingly beautiful.
I Move Around You offers rich soundscapes that is as intricate as it is accessible. PEARL skilfully interweaves heartfelt melodies with infectious pop hooks, comparable to the likes of Lapsley and Sigrid. Her gliding classically trained vocals guide each track, lending an effortless grace to her signature ethereal lyricism and the often pillowy bed of synths and lo-fi beats. The result is a body of work that speaks to the intensity of emotion and the complexities of personal growth.
Reflecting on the journey behind her EP, PEARL shares, “If you told me a few years ago that I would be writing and releasing music, I wouldn’t have believed you. Finding confidence in myself has been scary but healing. I’ve had to look at the things I didn’t want to acknowledge and open up old wounds. I Move Around You timestamps moments of tension and release in navigating self-growth within a long-term relationship.”
