Following the release of the first single ‘Crowded World’, Melbourne’s post-punk/grunge trio Moody Beaches have dropped a new single, ‘Counting Reasons’, the second offering from the band’s forthcoming record ‘Acid Ocean’ The new album will be released on 21 April via Poison City Records / Beast Records (France).
Moody Beaches are known for their dynamic and hard-hitting sound. The band was formed in 2017 and they have shared stages with the likes of Magic Dirt, Screamfeeder, Dead Kennedys and Spiderbait.
‘Counting Reasons’ has an accompanying video, directed by Wild Rose. It features Moody Beaches’ vocalist and guitarist Anna Lienhop stripped bare, a maniacal smile plastered across her face throughout the chaos that ensues, which the band believes is, analogous to the societal pressures frequently bestowed upon women. The track is a raucous rocker with Lienhop’s vocals soaring above thunderous drums and fuzzy guitars.
