News: Melbourne super-group, The Silversound announce release date for ‘debut’ self-titled album, along with the release of cracking second single, ‘Wolf’.

Following on from their first serving, ‘Shaker‘ (read about it here), The Silversound have released exciting new track, ‘Wolf‘ on the back of news of the self-titled album being released on March 24th.

Wolf‘ is a muscular track full of attitude, which oozes fuzz-drenched, overdriven guitar goodness, and the slow underlying boogie allows the mood to simmer until it unleashes its’ full explosive power, all the while giving a nod to its’ rock and roll lineage.

Andrew Tanner’s vocals bristle with intent, and lend the perfect swagger to what is a grand follow up to the excellent first taste of the album in ‘Shaker’.

According to Tanner, ‘Wolf‘ is A brutal song for brutal times. Free floating paranoia meets claustrophobic unease, with a lyric that’s maybe just your own internal script. Guitars howl, the bass lurks and somewhere a drummer bites and won’t let go. Sometimes you eat the wolf, sometimes the wolf eats you.”

Given the outright brilliance of these first two releases, it is with bated breath that I await the release of the full album…….and once you hear these tracks, I guess many of you will too.

The album is released on Cheersquad Records and Tapes. Pre-order The Silversound on 2LP, CD or digital download here:
