2020 has put the brakes on for so many artists, but Larkin Poe haven’t slowed down at all.
In June the Atlanta-born Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist sister duo Rebecca and Megan Lovell released their fifth studio album, Self Made Man, which combined their full-throttle roots-rock with a refreshing positivity.
Barely pausing for breath, last month they released Kindred Spirits. This first album of covers features stripped-back versions of both classic and new songs by artists including the Allman Brothers Band, Robert Johnson, Elton John, Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne.
Throughout this turbulent period, they’ve also been dedicated to staying in touch with their fans and have been very active online: live streaming the new album, performing in many virtual concerts and creating content for their ‘Tip O’ The Hat’ video series.
So it’s probably no surprise that they wanted to do a special festive live stream event. For the ShakePoe Family Christmas Larkin Poe are teaming up with Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown to bring us some classic Christmas tunes and some good old-fashioned cheer – something which I’m sure we could all do with a bit more of right now.
The ShakePoe Family Christmas show will air twice on Saturday, December 19th, with a UK screening at 7pm GMT. Fans can join the airing live to watch the show and chat in real-time with both bands but, if you’re not able to make it on Saturday, ticket holders will be able to watch it on demand through to Boxing Day.
All tickets for the ShakePoe Family Christmas are available now via http://shakepoe.veeps.com.
