News: Japan’s Electrifying Garage Rock Trio, The Fadeaways, Bring Seismic Energy to Australian Shores + Release of Exclusive Tour LP ‘Pretty Wild’

The garage rock scene is about to get a seismic shake as Japan’s electrifying trio, The Fadeaways, make their highly-anticipated debut on Australian shores. Next week, Toyozo (vocals and bass), Assman (guitar), and Ozzy (drums) bring their high-octane energy down under. Since their formation in Tokyo in 2005, The Fadeaways have been channelling the raw intensity of ‘60s garage punk and ‘70s punk trash into a sound that is uniquely their own.

In celebration of their first-ever Australian tour, Cheersquad Records & Tapes have released an exclusive tour LP, ‘Pretty Wild‘. This album features a mix of four original tracks and four covers, all infused with The Fadeaways’ signature over-the-top flair. The covers span a spectrum of garage rock classics, including ‘Levitation’ by the Thirteenth Floor Elevators, ‘You’ve Got Me High’ by Science Poption, ‘Get The Picture’ by the Pretty Things, and ‘I Can Only Give You Everything’ by Them. The LP is also available in limited edition black and teal vinyl pressings.

The Fadeaways are known for their energetic and theatrical live performances. Decked out in ‘60s Europop-inspired outfits, they’re set to deliver an adrenaline-fueled show that often sees Toyozo perched atop the kick drum, belting out tunes, while Ozzy performs handstands on his drum kit. Assman’s wild stage antics, including his famous airborne leaps and onstage beer chugging, perfectly capture the unrestrained spirit of Japanese rock.

Having toured extensively in the USA, UK, Europe, and parts of Asia, and supported numerous international acts in Japan, The Fadeaways have built quite a reputation. Their discography includes eight albums and numerous singles and EPs.
