Speaking about the EP, Jamie shares: “This Is Home encapsulates connection. With yourself, friends, family and the elements around you. A reminder to love, to embrace moments, to question things and to always be kind. Knowing that we are not perfect in design, we are flawed but we continuously strive to be better, to grow.
Sonically the record falls somewhere between Indie Folk/Rock meets Modern Alt Pop. I got heavily into production whilst making this record and Big Red Machines self titled Album was super influential. That then spiralled into listening to a lot of The Japanese House, The War On Drugs and anything Arron Dessner or Justin Vernon had a hand in.”
Jamie Yost has graced some of the UK’s most prestigious stages, including a headline performance at Cambridge Folk Festival’s ‘The Den’ stage and a set on the ‘The View’ stage at Boardmasters. Having supported notable acts like Nathan Ball, Skinny Living, and Wildwood Kin, he has further cemented his place as one to watch having partnered with the esteemed YouTube channel ‘Mahogany’ for an exclusive performance of his track ‘Storm’, gained over 500,000 streams across all platforms and been placed across editorial playlists on both Spotify and Apple Music.
This Is Home encapsulates Yost’s evolution as an artist and showcases the brilliant musicality he is capable of.
