After a sold-out national tour in 2024, James Blunt is making good on his promise to return to Australian shores with his Back to Bedlam 2025 tour. Kicking off in October, Blunt will perform his iconic multi-platinum debut album in full, alongside a setlist packed with fan favourites and chart-topping hits.
Released in 2004, Back to Bedlam catapulted Blunt to global stardom, driven by the smash singles ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Goodbye My Lover’. The album dominated charts. Certified 8× Platinum in Australia, it reached #1 on the ARIA charts and claimed the #8 spot on the ARIA Top 100 Albums of the 2000s. With over 12 million copies sold worldwide, Back to Bedlam remains a defining moment in Blunt’s career and in 2000s pop history.
’New Zealand and Australia… I’m coming to get you! Following last year’s incredible tour of Oz, I knew I had to bring my Back To Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour to you guys Down Under, and this time we’re sneaking in New Zealand, and I can’t wait to see all of you! I promise to deliver an unforgettable show!’ – James Blunt
Over the years, Blunt has carved out a career that mixes creative evolution with commercial success. From the introspective All The Lost Souls (2007) to 2023’s Who We Used To Be, Blunt’s discography has consistently delivered hits, securing Top 10 placements on the ARIA Album Charts along the way. His greatest hits collection The Stars Beneath My Feet recently went Gold, adding to a legacy that keeps growing stronger.
James Blunt’s path from a soldier stationed in Kosovo to international chart-topping star has just gotten the documentary treatment in One Brit Wonder, directed by Chris Atkins. But don’t expect a conventional rock-doc—it’s as much about his self-deprecating charm as it is about his meteoric rise. The film delves into Blunt’s military background, shining a light on his time as a British soldier in Kosovo, a chapter of his life that shaped both his perspective and songwriting. It also retraces his unexpected rise to stardom following the release of his debut Back to Bedlam and how a performance opening for Elton John led to future superstar Ed Sheeran being inspired to chase his own dreams. And, of course, no Blunt documentary would be complete without exploring his sharp, hilariously savage use of Twitter, where he’s built a new legacy of social media domination by clapping back at trolls with his signature wit.
Now, with Back to Bedlam turning 21, Blunt’s return to Australia and New Zealand promises nostalgia with a fresh twist—an opportunity to relive the emotional highs of one of the 2000s’ most beloved albums, while celebrating his evolution as an artist.
