IDLES have just unveiled their fifth album, ‘TANGK’. The 11-track follow-up to their Grammy-nominated album ‘CRAWLER.’ ‘TANGK’ was co-produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, The Smile, Beck), the band’s Mark Bowen and Kenny Beats (Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Benee). ‘TANGK’—pronounced “tank” with a whiff of the “g” is intended to mimic the sound of the music’s impact through onomatopoeia.
TANGK. I needed love. So I made it. I gave love out to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. All is love

The band have also released a new single ‘Grace’ with an accompanying video, which is a reimagining of Coldplay’s iconic ‘Yellow’ video using deepfake AI tech. The concept for the video came to IDLES frontman Joe Talbot in a dream. Joe spoke to Chris Martin about the idea shortly after his dream, and the Coldplay frontman not only gave his blessing to make the idea a reality, but also later helped to train the AI to make his vocal performance look more realistic.
IDLES hail from Bristol, and have quickly risen to prominence with their raw energy, politically charged lyrics, and unapologetic approach to music. Known for their incendiary live shows, IDLES create an electrifying atmosphere that captivates audiences and leaves a lasting impression. Read a very interesting interview that Joe Talbot had with The Guardian in which he discusses the band’s approach to making the new album as well as the effect that becoming a father has had on him, over here.
