Brighton-based rising stars Holler are back on the scene with their latest single, ‘Doubt’, a mesmerizing blend of indie, alternative-rock, and shoegaze influences.
An anthemic track characterised by rich instrumentation, reverb soaked production and emotive vocals ‘and beautifully constructed guitar melodies’Doubt showcases some of the bands strongest work to date.
Following a wave of critical acclaim and notable placements on Spotify Editorials such as Fresh Finds UK & IE and Fresh Finds: Class of 2023, Holler has swiftly made a name for themselves on a national level. Collaborating with renowned producer Guy Page (known for his work with Coach Party), the band’s signature guitar-driven sound reaches new heights on ‘Doubt’.
The single kicks off with a burst of atmospheric layers, distorted guitars, and driving rhythms, setting the stage for what’s to come. Lead vocalist’s haunting delivery draws listeners in, imbuing the verses with a sense of smoky introspection. As the song progresses, it swells into a soaring chorus, propelled by an infectious vocal hook that lingers long after the track ends.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘Doubt’, the band shares, “The song delves into the struggles of a close friend navigating the complexities of a new relationship while grappling with their own doubts and insecurities. It’s about the challenge of allowing oneself to be vulnerable and the importance of trust in building meaningful connections.”
