In a much-needed dose of good news for Australia’s festival circuit, Good Things Festival has officially locked in its dates for 2025. The punk, alternative, and metal celebration will once again roll through Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane across the first weekend of December.
Good Things Festival 2025 Dates:
Friday, 5 December – Melbourne
Saturday, 6 December – Sydney
Sunday, 7 December – Brisbane
The announcement, made via the festival’s official social media channels, has sparked excitement and relief among fans. It arrives at a time when many of the country’s most beloved festivals have been forced into hiatus or cancellation.
In recent years, major events have struggled to stay afloat, with rising costs, unpredictable ticket sales, and shifting audience habits taking their toll. The cancellation of large-scale festivals like Splendour in the Grass sent shockwaves through the scene, raising questions about the sustainability of the traditional festival model in Australia.
Against this uncertain backdrop, Good Things’ return is a reassuring signal. Known for its high-energy lineups, blending legacy acts with fresh blood from the punk and metal underground, the festival has become a staple for alternative music fans.
While the lineup for 2025 is yet to be revealed, expectations are already running high. If previous editions are anything to go by, fans can expect a weekend of heavy riffs, sweat-soaked mosh pits, and the kind of communal joy that only a great live show can deliver.
