Norwegian alt-pop artist girl in red, perhaps best known for her smash hit ‘Serotonin’, has announced that she will be playing her largest headline shows to date in Sydney and Melbourne in February 2023.
girl in red is the indie pop project of Marie Ulven. The queer icon will be heading to Australia off the back of massive sets at Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Coachella, where Billie Eilish surprised her on stage with a Spelleman Award for Album of the Year. Ulven also notched up sold-out headline shows at the famed Pier 17 in New York and 02 Academy Brixton.
Ulven burst onto the scene with her critically-acclaimed, debut album ‘if i could make it go quiet’ in 2021. She soon became a fan favourite and garnered celebrity supporters such as Taylor Swift and Camilla Cabello.
Since her last Australian show in 2019 girl in red has amassed a stunning 1.85 billion career streams.
