News: Fontaines D.C. announce further 2021 UK tour dates

The Dublin-based band, after receiving well-deserved praise for recently released A Hero’s Death, have announced another set of tour dates in Edinburgh, Nottingham, Bath and Liverpool. This follows the quintet’s immensely popular return to live gigs, albeit virtual ones, with an audience peaking at 4000. Their newly announced dates come after several previously announced sold out in quick succession: with an Edinburgh Corn Exchange gig added to the two sold out shows at Glasgow’s Barrowlands, a gig at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall being added after two sold out shows at Manchester’s O2 Academy. Fontaines will also play at Nottingham’s Rock City, as well as Bath’s Forum.

Undoubtedly, the band’s crowning glory atop the album’s glowing reviews, was their furious battle with Taylor Swift’s Folklore for the UK number one album spot. Despite marginally losing out to the US pop-star, their monumental second album sat comfortably at the top of the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and Record Store Albums Chart.

See Fontaines D.C.‘s newly announced dates below, which are released on pre-sale tomorrow (Wednesday 12th) at 9am. Those who have already bought the new album will have access to pre-sale tickets, but others can also sign up the band’s mailing list to get access. Buy or stream A Hero’s Death here.
