For the first time since stepping off stage at London’s Kentish Town Forum in 2017, the original three-man Fink line-up, led by Berlin-based, British singer-songwriter, Fin Greenall, have announced three domestic live dates. As part of a mammoth 36-date international tour, taking in some of Europe’s landmark venues and most historic cities, Fink celebrates this year’s eighth album release face-to-face with fans in London, Bristol and Manchester in October.
That seven-year gap has allowed Greenall and long-term collaborators and band mates, Tim Thornton (drums/guitar) and Guy Whittaker (bass) to return to the essence of Fink after a lengthy period of courageous experimentation. Coming ‘home’ to the original sonic make-up and line-up of the band that broke-through with 2006 album, Biscuits For Breakfast, Fink last week released What Would You Call Yourself, the very first cut of music from upcoming album, Beauty In Your Wake. Released once again on Greenall’s own R’COUP’D label, the album is released CD, vinyl, cassette and digital formats on Fri 5 July 2024.

Going back-to-basics and heading back to England’s beautiful South West, to a remote Cornwall studio, close to the coastal community which Greenall called home as a child, the band has produced ten new songs of introspection, whilst connecting to truths universal to everyone. Now those tracks, produced with Grammy Award-winning producer and engineer, Sam Okell, plus highlights from the FINK back catalogue are to get the same honest retelling over the three upcoming dates.
Greenall says:
“We’re back to the original trio and we’re gonna let the songs do all the lifting, so we just kind of surf the songs.”
UK dates follow a comprehensive run in Europe, crossing Germany, Italy, Spain, France Portugal, the Netherlands and more. All of the currently confirmed Fink UK Tour dates are as follows:
- Fri 25 Oct – London, EartH Theatre
- Sun 27 Oct – Bristol, Thekla
- Mon 28 Oct – Manchester, Band on the Wall

Having a foot in the door of iconic record label, Ninja Tunes’ very earliest days, signing as a dance-orientated artist in 1997, and releasing his breakthrough EP Fink Funk release, as the label was in a thrilling phase of ascendancy, Greenall’s journey through music is one of collaboration, possibility and experimentation. Whilst writing with other artists, notably an emergent Amy Winehouse, the songwriter began recording test vocals which eventually, perhaps inevitably, transformed him into a singing frontman of his own band.
Adapting from a largely electronic world of DJ-ing and samples, FINK’s first, acclaimed album of guitar-based music, Biscuits For Breakfast (2006), presented the three-piece with an immediate and willing audience. Three further albums as a trio, Distance and Time (2007), Sort of Revolution (2009) and Perfect Darkness (2011) were released before Greenall, Thornton and Whittaker chose a decade-long divergence into other, separate avenues of musical exploration.
