News: Fat Salad Shine On Euphoric And Psychedelic New Single ‘Ecstasy’

South London’s FAT SALAD unveil their latest alternative-rock gem ‘Ecstasy’. A cinematic journey of soaring guitars, lush atmospherics, and raw emotion, the track sees the quartet reaching new creative heights under the production of Natan Sterenfeld (Usher, Faithless, Diplo, Dave Barbarossa).

From its shimmering electronic textures and rippling guitar intro to the arrival of a fuzz-drenched solo, ‘Ecstasy’ immediately captivates. Driving basslines and bold, rhythmic drumming provide a rich canvas for the husky, magnetic vocals of Aydan Godden to shine. The track ebbs and flows through swaying verses before lifting into a euphoric, melody-driven chorus. Its climax is marked by an electrifying second guitar solo, delivering intensity before receding into a stripped-back, intimate outro.

Sonically, the track bridges the atmospheric depth of the likes of My Morning Jacket and The Stone Roses with the visceral energy of early Kings of Leon and even Red Hot Chilli Peppers, showcasing FAT SALAD’s dynamic versatility. Speaking on the release, lead vocalist and guitarist Aydan Godden says:

“Ecstasy has long been a centrepiece of our live show, and I think we’ve really done it justice in the studio. There’s a depth and richness to the record that we had yet to unlock as a band until now. It’s a colourful explosion of love and beauty pinned down by glassy guitars and bouncy bass lines.”

Since their debut in 2023, FAT SALAD has swiftly established themselves as a force in the UK indie scene. Highlights include a breakout set at Kendal Calling, headline shows across iconic London and Sheffield venues, and their growing loyal fanbase. Beyond live performances, the band continues to expand their presence with The FAT SALAD Podcast.
