Texan post-rockers Explosions in the Sky have reissued their first and fourth albums on vinyl and announced plans to tour the UK and Ireland next year. The band have released debut album ‘How Strange, Innocence’ and ‘lost’ fourth album ‘The Rescue’ on vinyl.
‘The Rescue’ was previously only available as a download and CD mail order release and ‘How Strange, Innocence’ had a limited run of 300 LPs which a friend of the band issued on his private label shortly after the album came out in 2000, but apart from that has been unavailable on vinyl ever since. Both the reissues are newly remastered, and the latter features vinyl lacquers cut by none other than Shellac bassist Bob Weston himself. They hit stores on July 10th.
Explosions in the Sky have also announced plans for a tour of theatres across the UK and Ireland in mid-February 2020, their first since 2016. Dates are below.
