News: EFG London Jazz Festival 2025 Announces First Wave of Artists

The EFG London Jazz Festival returns for its 33rd edition from 14-23 November 2025, bringing together a diverse lineup of global talent for ten days of innovative and boundary-pushing music. Today, the festival has announced its first wave of artists, featuring both legendary performers and rising stars across jazz and its surrounding genres.

Highlights include Grammy-winning jazz icon Dee Dee Bridgewater, who brings her WE EXIST! show to the Barbican on 15 November, and Tune-Yards, fresh off the release of their new album Better Dreaming, performing at the Royal Festival Hall on 22 November. Jazz piano virtuoso Hiromi returns to the Barbican on 21 November, following her acclaimed 2023 set, while Makaya McCraven, known for his genre-blending approach to jazz and improvisation, takes over KOKO on 19 November.

Other standout performances include Tanita Tikaram’s first London show in eight years, Chris Thile’s genre-defying mandolin mastery, and Kurt Elling with The Yellowjackets celebrating Weather Report. Rising stars like Bilal, Rita Payés, Fergus McCreadie, and Laura Jurd also feature in the lineup, alongside returning favourites GeeJay, who sold out their 2024 festival appearance.

The festival opens on 14 November with Jazz Voice, its signature gala event at the Royal Festival Hall, where an all-star cast of vocalists will reimagine classic songs with the specially assembled EFG London Jazz Festival Orchestra. Further artist announcements and special collaborations are expected in the coming months.

Festival Director Pelin Opcin emphasized the event’s commitment to global talent and artistic innovation, stating: “We can’t wait to welcome audiences back in November to experience the unforgettable magic of live music.”
