Irish rapper Denise Chaila has become Ed Sheeran’s most recent collaborator, as her feature on the remix of Sheeran’s ‘2step’ was released today onto all streaming platforms.
On Wednesday, the 25th of May, Ed Sheeran dropped another remix of his song ‘2step’. This time, featuring Zambian-born Irish rapper Denise Chaila, hailing out of Limerick.
Chaila, whose hits include ‘Out the Gaff’, ‘Anseo’ and ‘Chaila’, had recently finished supporting Sheeran on his eight-date Irish tour, announced the news to her Instagram last week and claimed touring with Ed was “baffling and amazing”.
In the same post, she also described her experience on tour; “I’ve met someone from my childhood who loves me at every single one of these shows. I’ve have cried like a baby while they tell me they believed in me. Shared pints and jokes and small gifts of joy with people backstage and generally been in my feelings. Been amazed by the culture of care Ed has cultivated around his tours and with his people.”
Denise Chaila’s remix is the 12th ‘2step’ remix released, with previous versions by the likes of Atlanta’s Lil Baby, Ukraine’s Antytila, and London’s Potter Payper.
